After discussing and debating in class, we decided the cult beauty product was the one I chose - the Simple moisteriser. This is because it is light on the skin and suits all skin types, as well as providing a good base before applying makeup. The product has 4 and a half star rating on the simple website, and is very cheap selling at just £3.99, or £6 for 3 simple products at Asda.

Task 3
1. I was expecting to do more makeup than hairdressing.
2. I am enjoying the course very much and I think the college itself is very friendly and welcoming.
3. When we had to go around taking photos of the college.
4. I've learned a lot about hair and how to care for it better.
5. Anastasia Beverly Hills
6. Because I enjoy making people feel more confident about themselves as well as working with special effects makeup.

Pat McGrath
Pat McGrath is a British make-up artist, who is 5th in the top ten most famous make-up artists. She found as a child she was interested in clothes in particular the colours. Although she is mainly self taught, McGrath has worked with many famous brands such as Prada, Dolce and Gabbana as well as currently working for Max Factor. Make-up artists recognize her as the artist who makes the most original make-up by hand as well as using her fingers instead of brushes. McGrath herself says she is mostly inspired by colours and fabrics, and tries to make all of her work look completely different. She has an MBE which she was awarded in 2013 for her "services to the fashion and beauty industry."
NASMAH
Here is a link to the British Assocation of Skin Camouflage that I found on the NASMAH page. It is makeup that helps people who are uncomfortable with their skin become more confident using the makeup they sell. http://www.skin-camouflage.net/
